Fletcher Cemetery

The land for this cemetery in Section 10 of Ottercreek Township was given by Thomas and Rhoda Fletcher. The deed is dated July 8, 1872 although many graves were already in this location, some dating back to the early 1850’s. There are many members of the Curtis, Marker and related families buried here as well as Cackler, Pennington and Nine families. To reach this burial ground, drive Highway 34 west from Chariton to Lucas. Drive north on Highway 65 about 7 miles. After passing Norwood United Methodist Church, go to 566th Street, west to cemetery at #13301 at end of road
