The Brinegar or Eaton Cemetery is located in Section 27 in Ottercreek Twp. In the early 1900's it was necessary to move the cemetery from a location further south to allow the road to be curved as it came down the high hill overlooking Otter Creek.

To reach Brinegar Cemetery from Chariton: drive west on Highway 34 to Lucas, then north on Highway 65 for 3 1/2 miles to the second gravel road - 530th Street. Turn left and travel west 1 1/2 miles to 130th Trail, turn right to go north one mile to the cemetery. The cemetery post reads 53952.
